End of Second Week

 After half month under guidance of my supervisor, I had brief draft of my job scope and the company structure. During this two weeks, my main task is to liaised with the supplier. I had to find out the cheapest and good quality product from suppliers such as boilers, Pipe sets, Radiators, valves etc. Therefore, it is time to let me learn the proper way to liaised with UK or China suppliers. In addition, the procedure from quotation to make order I had run through. This task was related with Introduction to International Business Practices and Management where the method of delivery and payment such as using airplane or shipment and etc. Meanwhile, I met a problem that is communicating with a Chinese supplier . Therefore, in the beginning I keep getting the wrong email address due to their pronunciation being different with us.

Moreover, after finding a lot of suppliers and asking for quotations I had successful steps to the next step, which is enquire for samples to make sure their product’s quality. That’s all I did at the end of my second week at Plumb zone.

Friday 19 Feb

I began sorting various locks to locate combinations for those locks. I continued to analyze property passes to check for proper authorization and to confirm the destination. I was also positioned on a stakeout for most of the afternoon to possibly witness criminal activity.
